Process of Site Development for our Clients: Foundation: Once the contract is signed we have an initial meeting to discuss marketing needs and the main goals of the website. Available resources are gathered such as company brochures, photos in either digital or print format, and anything that may aid in the initial design of the website. A rough guide for the project is created during this step. We allow a total of 3 hrs of onsite consultation. Layout: We then create a layout for the home page of the website from the initial notes. The layout is presented and changes are discussed. By the end of this stage button, section names and the overall design (look and feel) of the website should be accurately determined. Approximately two weeks is used for this stage. We also come up with a new corporate logo that will go on your site. You will be able to use this logo for all your other business needs as well i.e. stationary, signs, etc. Content: Once the layout and graphics are complete, we review the content that has been provided, suggest changes and add it to the site. This can come from the existing sites or from new sources. Coding: The next phase is where we include all the back end programming so that all your forms, news articles etc. can function. By the end of this stage, you will have a working BETA, or test version, of your website. Often being the most time consuming, this stage must happen to create a functional website. Publish: Finally once everything is up, working and debugged, email addresses are setup. Your website is then hosted and it is revealed to the public! This is a general overview of our site development process. We will need to discuss in detail any further information that would be pertinent to your specific website needs. |
